Working with Industry
Two of our Product Design 2nd year students have had the opportunity to work with Lord Design, a local design consultancy. They were asked to finish and paint large scale models for the BFG Monopoly game tokens. The objective was to achieve a good finish on the models to give them a similar appearance to that of the actual pieces. This was achieved through intricate sanding to keep the model details sharp and then using metallic effect spray paint.
